Reminders November 4, 2009

Language Arts:

• Students are required to read 2 AR books during the month of November.

• Esperanza Rising Test is Tuesday, November 10th

• Esperanza Rising Folders are due Tuesday, November 10th

• Homophone Test is November 17th. (Please see link under Language Arts for words to study)

Science:

• Skeletal and Muscular System Tic-Tac-Toe Project is due Tuesday, November 24th. (Please see link under Science for Tic-Tac-Toe handout)

MEAP October 11, 2009

We will begin MEAP testing this week.  We encourage all students to get a good nights rest each night and have a healthy breakfast each morning before they come to school. Please send a healthy snack to school each day during the next two weeks of MEAP testing.

SPIRIT WEEK! October 1, 2009

Tuesday ~ Harry Potter Trivia

• Students will participate in a trivia activity at school.

Wednesday ~ Hat Day

• Students may wear a hat to and during school on this day.

Thursday ~ Clash Day

• Students may come to school dressed in their most creative mismatched outfits.

Friday ~ Spirit Friday

• Who has the most spirit at the Intermediate School?  We will find out on this day!  Come with your red, gray or “Laker Wear!”
